Hazel St is a project for 8 units of affordable housing in Newhallville, New Haven, CT. The project emerged from the inaugural Housing Connecticut Clinic organized by the Yale Urban Design Workshop in 2022.
New wood framed construction over a concrete basement foundation. Two, four-unit apartment buildings of 7,224 gross square feet of living space above grade, containing two ownership units and two rental units in one contained three-story structure. The units will be divided at their party walls along property lines. Site development includes a new driveway with a rear patio and basic landscaping.
